I'm leaving the beginning of March to bring donated medicines, vitamins and medical supplies to Tayna. All these supplies are donated but they must be transported with excess baggage charges of $150 each. Anyone who reads about these orphans and wants to help can donate to my project or directly to the DFGF. I was captured by a friend's travel photo of one of these children wearing a party dress. Be careful how long you gaze on their faces....you will never be the same. I’m a registered nurse in touch with Pierre regarding medical assistance to the orphans of Tayna. I was there in 2005 and was fortunate enough to trek into the Virungas on the DRC side. I am about to start a masters program in conservation biology and eventually would love to work at Karisoke. Do you plan to go back? I just met Dr. Lilly 2 weeks ago here in SF at a wildlife conservation expo.
